The coverage of Linux in the Internet celebrates the Completly Fair Scheduler as a new milestone in the development of Linux. Well, Solaris got a Fair Share Scheduler some years or so ago and even then, it was a fairly old concept. When i memorize it correctly the Concept of Fair Schedulers was introduced 1984. There is a good scientific paper about it dating back to 1988. So, welcome to the club, but nothing to rave about.
