HPC at the University of Zurich

Sun seems to get more and more traction in the HPC market. Yesterday the University of Zurich announced, that Sun will deliver a new HPC system based on the Constallation System for the school of science and mathematics. It is based on Intel Xeon Nehalem and delivers 51 teraflops. 14 Terabytes of memory. 160 Terabytes storage, 576 blade server with 4608 cores. The pricetag of the system is approx. 3 million US dollars. You will find the press release (in german, sorry) on the website of university.
