The venerable X4600M2 will have a successor this year. You already find some technical specs of the upcoming X4640 at the Sun website: Sun Fire X4640 Specs. The X4640 can use to the AMD Instanbul six-core CPU, so: 48 cores in 4 RU. Should be a really nice VDI or VMware system :)
