TPM about Mainframe Solaris

TPM writes at the Unix Guardian about the Opensolaris Port to the zSeries. Nothing really new but Timothy gets funny at the end:

But otherwise, IBM might have just as well commissioned Transitive to make a version of its QuickTransit Sparc/Solaris emulator so the System z mainframe running Linux could support emulated Solaris application on Linux partitions. And, for all we know, that is going to happen anyway.

What the f…? Come one, Timothy … running an application in an emulation running on a operating system with a really bang-fo-the-buck ratio on a incredible expensive hardware and software support and performance says goodbye to Kansas. Timothy, you cannot be serious! This is like shooting someone into his head trough his knees.
